Brebeuf College

Alexander Budrevics and Associates Ltd. was retained by the Toronto Catholic District School Board to prepare detailed design drawings for the landscape renewal of Brebeuf College in Toronto, Ontario. Phase 1 focused on an outdoor classroom and a portion of the parking lot identified as having ongoing icing issues, and was advanced for immediate implementation.

To address the icing concerns, the design augmented the existing drainage system through the introduction of a bio-swale along the downhill edge of the parking lot. This intervention improves stormwater management while also serving as a visible teaching tool to support education around green infrastructure.

ABAL’s scope of work included conceptual and detailed design, preparation of tender documentation, and contract administration. The project is continuing with Phase 2 proceeding to construction in 2024.
