Springwater Subdivison
Location
Springwater, Ontario
Project Type
Private Subdivision / Public Park
Status
Ongoing
Alexander Budrevics and Associates Limited was retained by Stonemanor Operating Corp. to prepare detailed design drawings for the neighbourhood park within the Springwater Subdivision in Springwater, Ontario. The developer completed base park construction including rough grading, topsoiling, and seeding, while the Township of Springwater funded the playground, shelter, concrete sports pad, and limestone screenings woodlot trail.
Springwater Subdivision is a large, multi-phase residential community where landscape design supports walkability, daily use, and strong connections to the surrounding natural environment. Tree-lined streets, connected pedestrian routes, and distributed open spaces contribute to a safe, legible, and people-focused neighbourhood structure.
Stormwater management ponds anchor either end of the subdivision and function as key landscape features. Naturalized planting and trail systems transform this infrastructure into usable open space, providing passive recreation, habitat, and a transition between active park areas and the broader landscape.
Working drawings were coordinated with the subdivision’s civil engineer to integrate grading and drainage, and Township Parks staff standards for play equipment and shelter design were incorporated into the final documentation.
