Principal Landscape Architect
Eriks is a Principal Landscape Architect and Partner at Alexander Budrevics and Associates Ltd., playing a key role in the firm’s third generation of leadership. His work is grounded in the belief that well-designed landscapes must balance environmental performance, constructability, and long-term usability.
Eriks brings a strong focus on sustainable site design, with particular expertise in Low Impact Development and municipal green development standards. He integrates stormwater management and sustainability strategies into both new construction and renovation projects, ensuring they contribute meaningful amenity value while remaining practical and durable.
His project experience includes extensive urban infill and rehabilitation work on residential, institutional, and educational sites, many of which are actively occupied. This has led to a collaborative, engagement-driven approach to design, with significant experience in public consultation and stakeholder coordination. Eriks has also been qualified as an expert witness in multiple Ontario Land Tribunal proceedings, providing professional insight on green development standards and site maintenance practices.
Beyond practice, Eriks contributes to the profession through academic involvement, serving as a guest critique specialist at the University of Guelph’s School of Landscape Architecture. He values mentorship, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the role of landscape architecture in shaping resilient and inclusive urban environments.
